Couples & Relationship Therapy in Austin, Texas

Being in a committed relationship can be one of the most rewarding experiences, but it can also be deeply heartbreaking when discord becomes frequent.

Do you experience recurring misunderstandings during conversations?

DO YOU FIND THAT:

Arguments have become more frequent and increasingly distressing

It’s difficult to reach consensus or resolve important issues

Offering one another the benefit of the doubt or acknowledging positives feels harder than it used to

Satisfaction and engagement in both emotional and physical intimacy have declined

During conflict, one or both of you tend to lash out, shut down, or withdraw

If any of these are ringing true for you, you’re in the right place and you deserve support.

✧✧✧✧✧✧

Couples Therapy offers an intentional space to address issues including ineffective communication, stressful conflict patterns, low trust, betrayals, and disconnection.

Couples can learn tangible skills to improve communication, conflict management, and attune to one another with greater care.

Couples therapy can also be helpful proactively, whether you are preparing for marriage, seeking ongoing relationship maintenance, or navigating the conscious decision to end a relationship with thoughtfulness and respect. The intentional effort you invest in couples work can have a lasting impact and support the long-term health of your relationship.

INTRODUCING

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy is most effective when both partners are willing to take ownership of their contributions to relationship dynamics and engage in honest and vulnerable conversations.

If this sounds scary or impossible, it doesn’t have to be!

COUPLES THERAPY
Frequently Asked Questions

  • Couples sessions typically include all partners unless we have pre-planned and agreed to meet separately. During the intake phase and at times throughout treatment, I may meet individually with each partner when clinically appropriate.

  • Yes, I offer limited after-work appointments. During your consultation call, we will collaborate to find a scheduling option that works for you.

    • Individual Therapy: $200 Per 50-Minute Session

    • Couples Therapy: $225 Per 50-Minute Session

  • I do not accept insurance and offer private-pay services only. This allows me to provide more personalized care while prioritizing client privacy and autonomy. As an out-of-network provider, I can provide an itemized receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to learn more about your out-of-network benefits.

  • Under a federal law known as the “No Surprises Act,” healthcare providers are required to provide clients who do not have insurance or who don’t use insurance for therapy services with an estimate of the cost of those services.

You have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule services, and if you receive a bill that’s at least $400 more than the estimate, you may dispute the bill. For more information, visit the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services website.

  • I ask all new clients to commit to weekly sessions initially, as I’ve found that clients benefit most when consistency, momentum, and a strong therapeutic relationship are established early in the process.

The length of treatment varies based on your goals and needs. Some clients seek skill-focused support and may engage in therapy for approximately 3-12 months. Others wish to explore more complex or chronic patterns and symptoms, which may involve longer-term work over several years. Some clients also choose to continue attending sessions on an ongoing basis as part of their overall wellness practices.

We will collaborate on treatment goals during the initial sessions, which often brings greater clarity around the direction and anticipated length of therapy.
