Anxiety Therapy for Adults in Austin, Texas
To be human is to experience anxiety from time to time. When anxiety becomes chronic, however, it can feel debilitating and draining.
Do you tend to overestimate the likelihood that things will turn out badly while underestimating your ability to cope?
DO YOU:
✓ Fear rejection or abandonment if you express your true feelings or needs
✓ Minimize positive experiences or personal strengths by insisting they don’t really count
✓ Often make assumptions, jump to conclusions, or generalize situations
✓ Lean on perfectionism to avoid disapproval and feeling like you’ve failed
✓ Regularly experience uncomfortable physical symptoms such as shallow breathing, dizziness, jitteriness, or digestive issues
If any of these are ringing true for you, you’re in the right place and you deserve support.

Therapy can help you learn and practice effective coping skills so anxiety no longer interferes with your daily functioning.
Over time, the intensity and frequency of symptoms can be reduced.
Therapy also creates space to explore the root sources of anxiety, increasing self-awareness and supporting empowered shifts in your life. Together, we work to understand patterns that maintain anxiety and gently modify routines and responses that keep you feeling stuck.

I do not accept insurance and offer private-pay services only. This allows me to provide more personalized care while prioritizing client privacy and autonomy. Under a federal law known as the “No Surprises Act,” healthcare providers are required to provide clients who do not have insurance or who don’t use insurance for therapy services with an estimate of the cost of those services.
You have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule services, and if you receive a bill that’s at least $400 more than the estimate, you may dispute the bill. For more information, visit the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services website.

I ask all new clients to commit to weekly sessions initially, as I’ve found that clients benefit most when consistency, momentum, and a strong therapeutic relationship are established early in the process.
The length of treatment varies based on your goals and needs. Some clients seek skill-focused support and may engage in therapy for approximately 3-12 months. Others wish to explore more complex or chronic patterns and symptoms, which may involve longer-term work over several years. Some clients also choose to continue attending sessions on an ongoing basis as part of their overall wellness practices.
We will collaborate on treatment goals during the initial sessions, which often brings greater clarity around the direction and anticipated length of therapy.
